They like to create things out of them, draw on them…they are just fun to have and I think that having a box for them to play with it good for their creativity. It is good to make things out of nothing and to just create. So, before you throw out the box or break it up to recycle it…have fun with it and create something out of it.

It seems as though whatever sport you play in there are sports trophies for it at some award ceremony especially when you are in high school. They always have that award banquet at the end of the season where they end out the trophies, patches, or silly superlative awards to the players especially the seniors since it will be their last season on the team. And kids just can not part with their trophies…I think that my husband has a box of trophies from his youth that he will not part with – sentimental memories.

OMG! If you want the coolest guitar that any little girl would LOVE to have if they are learning or wanting to learn how to play the guitar then you have to get them a hello kitty fender. This if awesome! I want one for myself because it is just so cool. This would make for a great gift for a little girl for a birthday or a special event. It is a great way to get her interested in playing an instrument that is for sure. I know that if my niece got one of these she would just love it!

Dolphin Tail

I don’t usually lie to watch a lot of movies but Dolphin tail was amazing. It was just so good and even kids would love this movie. It is a great movie to watch with your kids too – a nice family movie. The acting was amazing and I highly recommend it. It was a nice story and it was even more amazing that it was a true story which makes it even better for the viewer. Thumbs up here.

Hydraulic Hose

I am looking gardening supplies already and a hose is something that I need to get…my father just got a Delafield hydraulic hose but i think that is a little too much and not quite what I need in a garden. I always take the winter months to draw out my garden design so that I can rotate where I am going to be planting certain things. And then I try to get the supplies that I will need now because they are always on sale and I can get them for much cheaper as compared to April and May when they start putting out the garden stuff again and the prices are sky high as they were last year.

Taking Guitar Lessons

I would love to find the time to take guitar lessons. My husband plays and I just have always wanted to learn. I actually did start to take lessons but I am left handed and the guy teaching me said that there was no way he was going to teach me left handed because that is not how you play the guitar. Well, it just never felt right and I just never could get a grip on how to hold it because it felt so much more natural to hold it the other way. Turns out there are actually left handed guitars so, I guess I was just learning from the wrong teacher. Time to try to learn guitar another way.

I never use the earbuds because they are just so bad for your hearing. If you are looking for a great molding clay – sculpty clay is the best. It is really hard when it comes out of the box so you really have to soften it up but once you kneed it for around 15 minutes it is very workable and it will never harden unless you cook it. So you can really take your time and work one something without having to worry that you have to hurry because then stuff is going to harden up on you!

My best friend from high school decided to move to Washington state. She has always been a free spirit, but I think she might have bit off a little more than she can chew. She has no idea how to live on her own. Luckily, I was able to help her with some of the major decisions. I flew out there and we searched and searched for a house. After finally finding one, she was able to get a very affordable mortgage. I helped her find homeowner’s insurance and told her to get one of the Seattle security systems to reduce her premium. I showed her how to do all the research she would need to do for the rest of her utilities as well as any maintenance she might need done. After a lot of work and help from me, I think she is really going to enjoy her new place. I hate that she is so far away, but maybe one day she will change her mind and move back to her roots. Until that day, I just have to support her wherever that might be.

They have a lot of information right online to read up on as well as pictures but you have to go and see it to really get a feel of whether or not you like it.

I use to have black tea with sugar and milk all of the time. Everything from the 2 bedroom to homes that you can have your whole family comfortably living in. And they have a lot of places to choose from that you can find in your specific budget. And these days really good apartments are very hard to come buy. I know because my sister has been looking for months now.

People are not looking to buy homes these days…the apartments are the thing to be investing in it seems. People just do not want to take that risk of getting a home because they may not be able to afford it after a year. Homes are just so expensive…even the foreclosed ones and the short sale ones. You would think that they would be more affordable but apartments seems to be most affordable these days.

By far the best new show on television this fall is Revenge. With directv Corning I never miss an episode. Emily Van Camp is great as Emily Thorne, who’s sole intention is to get revenge on the Hampton’s click who destroyed her father. Madeline Stowe, however, steals the show as the click’s queen bee and one time love interest of Emily’s father. She also happens to be the mother of Emily’s love interest. It’s an intriguing tangled web of deceit and lies and I love it! The soapy mess also includes Stowe’s character Victoria’s philandering husband who has most recently had an affair with Victoria’s best friend Lydia. Did I mention that Lydia once owned the beach house where Emily now lives? That said, the story is a little far-fetched with all of the cyber stalking and money but who cares? TV is supposed to be an escape and it’s always fun to imagine how the other half lives. I’m guessing their lives aren’t quite this exciting but it’s always fun to pretend!

A new study finds links between tanning in tanning beds and cancer. Just like the linke between tobacco and lung cancer, are tanning beds and melanoma. According to the Early Show this morning, if your skin is turning brown, no matter what the reason, sun, or ultraviolet radiation, the risk is no different. This makes so much sense, and I am so surprised this information was not found out when these tanning beds first came out. I as well as many people questioned this from the beginning.
Just like breathing in smoke from tobacco is harmful to lungs, ultraviolet rays are harmful to your skin. This is another reason that the general public should not wait for federal recommendations on anything, that logically makes sense to stay away from.

When it comes to something that’s really going to scare my daughter and make her nervous, it doesn’t hurt to share her something to do with gangsters. But I’m not a horrible mom and I actually don’t enjoy scaring my kids too much. So we like to remember that we’re pretending to be gangster and watch TV to act that out instead.

I think that these movies can actually be pretty funny and entertaining when they’re set place really far ago to where it seems like it couldn’t actually happen. I was online reading some spoilers for some of that for Boardwalk Empire and while I was doing that I ran across some info on internet providers by zip code.

I really don’t think that my kids were too afraid by the preview that I found of the Boardwalk Empire episode. But I think that it’s safe to say that I won’t be letting them watch that TV show. They aren’t quite ready for all of the drama to go along with that adult content.

I got the Morphie for my iphone…I just love it. My battery only lasted around 4 hours before it and now my phone has battery’s that will last up to 8 hours depending what I am doing on it. This is some great when you are on vacation and you are taking lots of pictures and videos with your phone because that drains a lot of the batteries right there and then you don’t have a phone because you took too many pictures…the whole point of a cell phone is the phone part!

I have taken courses online in fact, I am currently taking a course online and I love it. I find it so much easier to take a course online when you have a family and a job as opposed to go tot that traditional class. And personally, I don’t get any more out of going to a class with the professor standing in the front lecturing. I like the go at your own pace sort of class and there are so many online schools out there now that have great programs like WaldenU.edu

If you are thinking about taking courses then check out Walden University because they have many courses to choose from. And when you take classes online you save gas money as well as a ton of time because you don’t have to drive anywhere. And you can do your work online when everyone is asleep. So, if you have children…they won’t even bother you when you are trying to do your coursework!

It seems like reality TV is everywhere these days, but for me picking a favorite prime time competition show is easy. On Survivor you have to outwit, outlast and outplay among fellow competitors to be the sole survivor and take home the half a million dollar prize.

The Mark Burnett created reality show offers breath-taking scenery, making watching it on satellite TV from www.directstartv.com more than worth it, and the biggest cast of dysfunctional people you will meet outside of the annual Thanksgiving get-together.

Contestants are taken through a series of challenges, such as endurance tests where they made to stand and balance on a wooden pole until only one remains, and rewarded with either a special treat away from the watchful eyes of the group or immunity from elimination.

What makes Survivor such fun to watch is the dynamics of the show. You may think that winning a reward where you get to pick one or two fellow survivors to go off and get pampered is a good thing, but if you pick the wrong people or go back on a promise you made to bring somebody else along should you win it comes back to haunt you come tribal council time.

Alliances are made from the start, but break those alliances and go back on promises and you may soon find your torch extinguished.

Cars 2 Review

I have to say that I was little disappointed with Cars 2. I found that it was a little to hard to understand for the audience that it targets and it was way too violent. These are cars that are essentially the people and to see all the cars that are alive get blown up in the movie whether they are good or bad cars….it is a little disturbing. I really didn’t like it all that much and I loved the first movie that was adorable and I have seen around 200 times!

If I had to choose between the 2 I would definatly pick the wooden blocks. There is something that I really do not like in the cheap plastic of the legos. I have a feeling that we are going to find that all the kid friendly toys are not all that kid friendly and little kids have neurological problems because they put legos in their mouths when they were one. Wooden blocks that are untreated are the way to go. The toxic toys out there are just crazy…horrible things for our kids to play with…we mind as well just give them that Bag ‘O Glass like in the SNL Skit in the 70′s.

Many people don’t realize gyms have group exercises. The class I attend convenes in the mornings when the kids are off to school and hubby off to work. The house is clean, the steak for supper is thawing in the sink, the laundry is done and errands run. Whew, time for me now, so I set the home security alarm from www.home-alarm-systems.com and head off to the gym for a group exercise class. Early in the mornings are much better for exercise classes like this because then the body is charged for the rest of the day, with its muscles toned, worked out and ready to go.
It’s an eerie feeling at first standing in ! five lines with five women in each line dancing to the golden oldies. I glance around me at the gleaming chrome reflecting the recessed lighting empty of riders, walkers or weight lifters. I look at the windows whose white paper coverings cheat us of the sunshine. But then the Grass Roots kick in with Midnight Confession and I forget the strangeness of a workout club with no workers and I dance and dance.
The group I exercise with in class is a mixed group of executives, housewives and older ladies wanting a better body to help with aging. I find that admirable and want that for myself when I get that age.
