Cartoons
Posted on 01.14.10 by carebearkids @

We grew up with cartoons. Some of us liked them, some of us like me could take or leave cartoons. The point is the cartoons we grew up with were deemed bad back in the 70’s. This was because of the violence. How ironic. Now kids get to watch the most violent cartoons, and play the most morbid games every day. Not to mention the spiritism and magic that are present in some.
I don’t think our kids should be enjoying this kind of entertainment. In the end it is their parents that are responsible. Not the manufactures of this garbage.
Some of my husbands fondest memories is eating hot dogs and beans on Saturday night, in front of the TV watching Deputy Dog. We still laugh about cartoons. My husband always got the hidden jokes in cartoons, especially Poppeye. We laugh about them even today, when he comes up with a quote.

Alice in Wonderland
Posted on 08.20.09 by carebearkids @

I was thinking of having an alice in wonderland themed party and didn’t know what to do. But why not have a tea party with a teapot shaped cake and tea cup shaped cookies. And the have signs saying this way and that way all around the house. Have little treats that say eat me…like the movie. You can make a party out of any movie!

Thomas The Train
Posted on 06.27.09 by carebearkids @

Searching to find Thomas the Train. We want to take a vacation this year were we can see Thomas the Train and he is pretty much in many states this year. So we are trying to find that state that has him but also has other things to do. Thomas the Train has gained popularity in the last few years and although I really do not like him or the show all that much…the kids seem to really like it and that is all that matters sometimes.

Yo Gabba Gabba

This show is really bizarre…although nothing like the teletubbies was…at least I can understand these weird things. It sure does capture the attention of kids though especially little kids. It is because of all the music and dancing and the colorful backgrounds it has on the screen. And the characters are quite the characters that is for sure. They even have over priced merchandise with this show now. But these shirts and apparel will be out dated before you kids grows out of them in my opinion.
